Is it possible yet? If no, why not? It seems to be a very simple script to handle this, wouldn’t take more than a few min to set it up and push with the next batch of updates. I would imagine many users of the GLI devices would appreciate something like this, especially those who connect remotely

We have introduced failover functionality between multiple VPN tunnels in v4.8.

It may be the OP is thinking of something else. If the first priority for a VPN tunnel is a NordVPN connection to, say New York, and for some reason it goes down, you may want to switch to a different NordVPN connection. You can set up 4.8 to have that as a second VPN, but if I follow you need to have been connected to both for the fail-over to occur (I think of it as a waterfall rather than a failover). There are scripts that will do act as a watchdog for the Asus routers to switch the priority tunnel to a different server.
For my use case, 4.8 is perfect though.
