Automatically change theme based on time of day

it would be nice for an "auto" theme option, where it will switch between the default and dark theme based on what the current time is.

Ideally it would check the timezone and set the switch time for sunset and sunrise, but this may be more complicated to do as I don't know if that can be obtained through an NTP server. if nothing else the easiest way would be to just hard code the time where users could edit the file and change it themselves if wanted.

I know I spend an inordinate amount of time logged into my gateway(s), router(s), etc., but even I have to ask: what are you doing that you'd spend so much time logged into a router's GUI to care about the sun setting? You shouldn't need to care. If you do you should probably learn ssh and uci & some POSIX-scripting.

I think you missed the point, or perhaps I wasn't clear enough. The idea is for the theme to automatically change to the dark theme in the evening and then back to the default or "light" theme during the day. Dark is nicer at nighttime as it's easier on the eyes but light things stand out better.

No, I understood your point but I think you're missing mine. If you're spending that much time staring at a GUI... especially for a piece of network equipment that shouldn't need babysitting... just switch to dark &/or use more efficient tools to do what needs to be done.

GUIs are bloat; resource 'dead weight' in both storage & RAM.

Case in point. nginx is the underlying server/daemon running GL.iNet's web-based GUI. uhttpd is the daemon for 'pure' OWRT's LuCI web interface:

Hi,

I will collect this requirement first, and submit it to PM team for evaluation.

Thanks.
