AX1800 Flint 4.8.3 firmware

I had the beta 4.8.3 firmware on my AX1800 Flint but noticed after two days of use all of the wireless clients loses connection on a frequent basis sometimes after only an hour of use because the wireless radio stops broadcasting (is my terminology right?). The only way to resolve is to restart the bridge LAN interface which I find annoying, so I went back to old current stable version 4.6.8 and everything is working as expected.

Is the 4.8.3 beta this bad? Has anyone experienced the same?

I did not save the logs so I can’t provide any, all I can remember from the experience is the repetitive

br-lan entered in disabled state.

The Qualcomm IPQ6018 SoC that‘s the heart of our routers is still a big bag of mysteries thanks to the proprietary firmware needed to run the device.

Reverse engineering is going slow and not always as expected, that’s what beta means. If you don’t have a passion for logs and finding what breaks and where, there’s no point even wasting the bandwidth to download it.
