AX1800 unable to connect to client via WiFi

New AX1800 user here. Struggling to get it working for me with Windows PCs and Android phones. Several problems but I’ll start with this one …

First, I immediately updated from v4.2.1 to 4.4.6 firmware with no problem. My LAN is a vanilla home network: 3 PCs; 3 phones; Tablo; Fire TV. Two PCs, Tablo and Fire TV connected via Ethernet, phones connected via wifi.

I’m unable to connect via WiFi from my Pixel 7 phone (haven’t tried other phones yet). Getting “Obtaining IP address” followed abt 15-20 sec later by “Disconnected”. Never asked for wifi password. No clue how to resolve. I reviewed the firmware settings but no luck.

Much appreciate if someone can enlighten me.

Hey there

Getting IP address means that it is already connected - maybe you used the same SSID and password like on a network before? Please try to “forget” the network on the phone first and then try to connect to your network once more.

Thx for the tip! I’ll try that asap. See log below for further clues (?) …

Are you connecting to your phone via repeater?

Seems the log is not for repeater but WiFi connection to the router from other devices.

For phone hotspot, can you enable maximum compatibility?
