Hi All,
FRR and Quagga are not available after upgrading my AXT1800 to 4.7.0.
Normally I would upgrade, refresh the package list and OpenWRt would install the missing packages.
Now when I look in the list FRR and Quagga are missing.
Makes the router effecively useless for me!
Did you miss a repository off?
Thanks
Simon

Hi Bruce,
Quagga stopped being maintained a few years ago, rip in particular is flakey these days, which is what I need at the moment. So I use FRR as it still maintained.
Package lsit from OpenWRT X86 _64 version 24.10.0:
root@work-virt-r1:~# opkg list | grep frr
frr - 10.2.1-r2 - FRRouting is free software that implements and manages various IPv4 and IPv6 routing protocols. Currently FRRouting supports BGP4, BGP4+, OSPFv2, OSPFv3, RIPv1, RIPv2, RIPng, IS-IS, PIM-SM/MSDP, LDP, VRRP and Babel as well as very early support for EIGRP and NHRP.
frr-babeld - 10.2.1-r2 - babeld routing engine
frr-bfdd - 10.2.1-r2 - bfdd routing engine
frr-bgpd - 10.2.1-r2 - bgpd routing engine
frr-eigrpd - 10.2.1-r2 - eigrpd routing engine
frr-fabricd - 10.2.1-r2 - fabricd routing engine
frr-isisd - 10.2.1-r2 - isisd routing engine
frr-ldpd - 10.2.1-r2 - ldpd routing engine
frr-nhrpd - 10.2.1-r2 - nhrpd routing engine
frr-ospf6d - 10.2.1-r2 - ospf6d routing engine
frr-ospfd - 10.2.1-r2 - ospfd routing engine
frr-pathd - 10.2.1-r2 - pathd routing engine
frr-pbrd - 10.2.1-r2 - pbrd routing engine
frr-pim6d - 10.2.1-r2 - pim6d routing engine
frr-pimd - 10.2.1-r2 - pimd routing engine
frr-pythontools - 10.2.1-r2 - Python reload tool
frr-ripd - 10.2.1-r2 - ripd routing engine
frr-ripngd - 10.2.1-r2 - ripngd routing engine
frr-staticd - 10.2.1-r2 - staticd routing engine
frr-vrrpd - 10.2.1-r2 - vrrpd routing engine
frr-watchfrr - 10.2.1-r2 - frr watchdog
frr-zebra - 10.2.1-r2 - Zebra daemon
Quagga would do for now although it was depreciated and seems to have been removed from 24.10.0
root@work-virt-r1:~# opkg list | grep quag
olsrd-mod-quagga - 2024.06.09~d72be9ad-r1 - Quagga plugin
I hope this explains the missing packages.

Thanks for the confirmation.
Will ask R&D to check.
As the AXT1800 kernel is updated and all plugins in the GL repo need to be recompiled and deployed again.
The repo is being gradually improved.
Thanks.

Hi Bruce,
Thanks for that. I've put a temporary router in until these are availabel and then I can swap back.
