Purchased a brand new AXT1800 and this issue is there out of the box with 4.5.x version.. tried 4.6.latest and it's the same..
So can you confirmat that you have Interent or not?
It could also be correct that Interface does not have Internet.
Please be aware that none of the GL routers contain a modem. So pure PPPoE for xDSL does not work without any modem in front of it. This is the most common issue.
If you need further assistance, please provide a few details about your internet connection and how you connected the AXT1800.
I do have an xfinity modem on front of the AXT1800.
The funny part is that AXT1800 connects to internet through repeater while it can't from ethernet.. no matter what device I tried in between.. ie I did put another router in between and AXT1800 was able to connect through repeater but again not via ethernet.. No matter what version is deployed or what device is in between, looks like the etnernet option is none functional. How to debug this? If you provide some details, I might be able to come back with more.
Also tried with different cables assuming the cable was faulty.
Latest firmware is 4.6.8. Flash it through LUCI and don't save settings. Wait 2 minutes and see if internet is working. If internet is not working, power cycle it and that should work. If all fails exchange it for a new one.
Having the same issue with a brand new device on firmware 4.6.8.
When the message does not appear, it takes a couple of seconds but I do have internet connection (which is insatnyl lost when the message reappears).
Tried flashing from LUCI without saving settings. Restarted main router as well before setting up SLATE AX from the beginning and nothing.
Same issues: The interface is connected, but the Internet can’t be accessed
Downgraded to version 4.4.6 like the other thead mentioned but same issues
slate GL-AXT1800 4.6.8 no internet if openvpn activate!
Check ping and DNS.
Most likely the VPN is blocking something.
Update to this: I had ordered 2 of these routers to have 1 with me for traveling and 1 at home
I tried setting up the second router to see if the issue was router related and IT WAS.
Already send back the first one that wasn’t working
Sounds more like an issue that could be fixed by resetting the unit, tbh.
In some situations, you have to unplug the power from the modem for one minute and plug it back in. This will allow for the router to get an IP and access to internet.
Well considering I tried rebooting about 20 times and flashing the firmware and rebooting another 20 times & downgrading to previous versions and rebooting another 20 times for it to still not work…
I would say rebooting does not work
The issue was not that it did not have internet. The issue was that it had internet and then it would say it didn’t and cycle between the two every 2-3 min.
