BE3600 Slate 7 Drops 5G in Repeater Mode

BE3600 Slate & running 4.8.1 Drops teh 5G Wifi signal around every 8 minutes. I am connected to a Hotels 5G wireless serves and uI’m using teh router as a rerpeater.

I have heard that this could be an issue with DFS.

I have attached teh logs from my router.

This is not new. I was on travel 4 weeks ago and had the exact same issue at another hotel. At that time I thought it was teh hotel, but now I think it is a setting on the router. Others have had a similar issue.

Hello,

Here is the log file.

Thanks for the update.
I will submit it to R&D to check the syslog.
It seems that the superior may have initiated a request to disconnect.

R&D guys have checked the syslog, for Slate7 repeater, there are multiple bssid (Mesh/APs) of the primary router ssid NH in the your environment.

First, the Slate7 repeater is connected to the bssid NH (70:47:xx:xx:xx:dc) which the signal strength is about -55. However, at 00:23:48, the primary router (Mesh) CSA announced that their WiFi channel was switched from CH36 to CH52, causing the Slate7 repeater to be disconnected.

Then, Slate7 repeater tries to connect to the other two signals, whose strength is about -88 ~ -83 bssid (80:bc:xx:xx:xx:7c, 70:47:xx:xx:xx:3c), but the connection is failed may be due to signal strength reasons.
Then, it tried to connect to the bssid 80:xx:xx:xx:xx:0c which the signal strength is -64, and the connection was successful.

This syslog seems to be a relatively normal phenomenon of repeater at present, the reason for the disconnection is mainly caused by channel changes in the primary routers, and Slate7 repeater scans again to find the signal and reconnect.
