Hello I'm using Beryl AX MT 3000 router and experience some issues since yesterday. I have connected it to my main router via PPOE, I'm not able to visit most of the website and connection is not stable. I tried to perform factory reset, latest firmwre, old firmware everything but no luck. Tried disabling adguard, tried custom dns too.
What modem are you using and did you restart it already?
yes, I'm using Airtel Nokia Modem G-2425G-A
I already tried restart 100 times, trying to fix this since couple of days but it's not resolving queries.
my main modem is working fine. when I connect to my main modem everything works fine.
when I connect to Beryl AX I can't open this forum page https://forum.gl-inet.com/ either and several other websites for example speedtest website does open but it didn't run test. hotstar doesn't work.
Is there ttl, mtu or vlan settings for the PPPoE?
Set the mtu a little bit lower. Do not use 1500. Use 1428.
What settings does the pppoe provider require?
i'd know this mathers on some isp, mine KPN with 1gb/s fiber wants 1500 mtu, for wireguard you want to go lower, something like 1420,1428 is good.
If it is a mobile connection check if the router itself works good via internet, or try lower mtu on the pppoe this is only for mobile connections, I'd recommend decrementing by 10 until 750 mtu and see if it affects it.
Edit:
Also make sure wan pppoe is higher than wireguards, this is important because wireguard should not exceed wan mtu.
Are you sure that VLAN ID 100 and MTU are correct?
What does your ISP tell you to use?
yes it was working fine since few months. It started happening few days ago.
Did you restart your modem already?
I performed factory reset on my main modem and on Beryl AX too. still same issue.
Time to contact your ISP to file an issue.
ISP said there is no issue on their router so they won't help in this.
another issue I'm facing is I have this 5G module but never get 5G signals however I do have 5G in my area and it always 5G on my Pixel phone.
It sound like a mtu issue, it has some familiarity with this thread:
Can you try lower the mtu of pppoe since you are using a mobile connection?
try upgrade modem firnware
