Beryl AX / 4.8.1 - Changing TTL/HL on USB Tethered interface?

Im looking to change TTL/HL to 65 on my Beryl AX to reduce detection. Im running op21 and firmware 4.8.1.

The WiFi (Repeater) interface has this in settings > modify in the GUI. Easy enough. So does Ethernet.

But the “Tethering” (im using a Huawei USB stick) doesn’t have modify and seemingly no way to change it.
Do i need to do this via SSH or Luci and if so, how exactly and make it persistent across reboots?

Jump into SSH. IDK know what the src (source interface) for the USB modem would be. Presumably it's not wan. You'd have to determine that by looking @ LuCI -> Network -> Interfaces. Then you'd change the src to match & the firewall.custom_ttl.ttl to 64 (if desired). It will survive reboots after you execute:

Actually Tethering would appear to be eth2 despite the fact its a USB dongle.

On my setup at least.

You're welcome.
