Beryl AX + 5G USB Stick or Mudi V2

Hi everyone,

I use the little Mango router since many years and love it, but for traveling I'd love to upgrade to be able to share network, ideally with 5G reception with family. Why ideally 5G? Just because some places in Croatia seem to have only 5G towers and LTE in those places is non existent.

My use would be all-time VPN router at home (like my current Mango), and connectivity on my travels.

What are your thoughts? And if combo with a 5G USB Stick, should I not just stick with my Mango? Would Beryl AX provide me with much bigger range for the created Wifi network due to it having antennas? Also, I'd be thankful for any recommendations for a reliable 5G adapter that works well with Beryl AX / Mango.

Thank you!

As a follow-up, would something like this* be enough to plug into the little Mango to enable 5G connectivity? Thanks!

Hello,

If you need a 5G connection, I'd recommend the X3000.

Since Mango only offers 2.4G WiFi and 100Mbps LAN, it can't full up to 5G cellular speed.

A USB 5G modem attached to Beryl AX might not be cheap either.
USB modem probably not strong compatible, and the USB port or cable touches by hand causing the network to reconnect, and the experience can be unpleasant.
