Hi everyone,
I’m using GL.iNet routers (e.g., Beryl AX running beta firmware for Amnezia WireGuard) in environments where having a stable, reliable VPN setup is critical — especially for Kill Switch and anti-IP leak protection.
Currently the dashboard has integrated support for WireGuard and OpenVPN, but it lacks native support for OpenConnect (SSL-VPN).
Here are some real use-cases where OpenConnect would be highly valuable:
- Many enterprise and corporate networks use OpenConnect (Cisco AnyConnect compatible) as the primary VPN solution.
- In areas with aggressive DPI and blocks, OpenConnect serves as a reliable fallback when WireGuard obfuscation can fail or is throttled.
- For deployments requiring certificate-based authentication and scalable policy routing, having OpenConnect in the VPN Dashboard would dramatically improve usability compared to manual / LuCI installs.
Feature expectations:
- Native OpenConnect protocol option in the main VPN Dashboard UI (similar to WireGuard and OpenVPN).
- Support for certificate/key authentication flows.
- Integration with Kill Switch / policy routing / firewall rules without manual LuCI scripting.
Has this been discussed internally or placed on a roadmap? Thanks in advance for any feedback.
Best regards.
