Beryl AX: Can't connect with 2.4ghz

I just upgraded from a slate gl-ar750-ext to a beryl ax 3000. I have 1 laptop with 5ghz and 1 laptop with only 2.4ghz.

The 5ghz works fine, but the laptop with 2.4ghz (n) cannot access the internet. It receives an IP 192.168.8.108/24 with the default route to 192.168.8.1. But nothing happens. Cannot even ping 192.168.8.1.

If I disconnect the beryl ax and connects the slate ar750 the 2.4ghz laptop works without any problem…

  1. How do I troubleshoot the laptop with the 2.4ghz?
  2. It seems to me to be configuration problem with the beryl ax (admin panel 4.2.1)

Thanks

Please try setting the 2.4G hotspot to non-AX mode.

Works. Thank you.

Does this means that newer laptop with 2.4ghz ax cannot mix with 2.4ghz g and n?

Thanks

Normally, all 2.4G devices support bgn mode, of course, in this case, some features of WIFI6 AX mode will not be supported.

Thanks for the info, I appreciate you taking the time to explain
