Hi
Due to hardware design, the Beryl AX (GL-MT3000) cannot support a physical "power kill" through the toggle switch.
The toggle button on the MT3000 is a software-defined switch rather than a physical circuit breaker. When moved, it sends a signal to the CPU/system to trigger a specific software event (such as toggling a VPN or Wi-Fi). It does not directly cut power to the hardware components or the device's circuitry.
Unplugging the power cable no?
Do any of the routers made by you all have a on off button ?
Only certain battery-powered models have a power button, such as the Mudi 7, XE3000, and Mudi v2.

XE3000:
Mudi v2:
Those three are a little to advance for my liking. Sorry.
If I got a usb c on off cable extension would that be ok to use with my Beryl AX (GL-MT3000)? I understand either way if it would be ok or risky.
Yes, a USB-C cable with a switch should be fine in your use case, just make sure it is reliable and well-manufactured.
