Hi there, hoping you all can help me. I just got a new Beryl AX (gl-mt3000) but having some problems when connecting in repeater mode. It will not connect to my home router and is giving various error messages, most often:
Connection failed, will retry later…
Incorrect password.
While attempting to reconnect, your router will periodically scan for Wi-Fi networks, and your guest Wi-Fi network will be temporarily unavailable during this scan.
However, I am certainly entering the correct password.
I am using the latest version of the firmware (4.6.9). I have found that I can fix the issue if I downgrade to version 4.5.16. But all of the 4.6 versions are not allowing me to connect to the home router.
I have tried changing MAC settings on the Beryl to factory MAC and that makes no difference. I have also changed password settings on the home router, swapping from WPA3 to WPA2 and vice versa and it makes no difference. I've also tried connecting to 5ghz and 2.4ghz but again it makes no difference, the error just repeats.
On seemingly random occasions it has allowed me to connect briefly. But if I disconnect I cannot connect again using the exact same settings and configuration.
Notably, it has no problem connecting to a hotspot from an Android mobile phone. But it will not connect to the home router consistently, unless I downgrade the firmware. Obviously, running the Beryl on outdated firmware isn't an ideal workaround.
So I'm hoping people here might have some ideas on what I can do.
Thanks in advance for your help.
