Beryl AX WiFi and country code issues

Hi, I have Beryl AX and I want to use it as a repeater.I am in the hotel, where I have two wifi networks. After I arrived I was able to connect to both 5G and 2.4G network without issues. I am in Thailand and I set country code in Luci to Thailand. Suddenly router lost internet, so I checked and it couldn’t connect to wifi. When I checked Luci country code was changed to Germany. I was using it for more than a year and it has never happened before.I changed it back to Thailand and it started working. After around one week it happened again. But after changing again to Thailand I cannot connect to wifi anymore (both 5G and 2.4G). I restarted router (just plug out, wait 5 minutes, and plug in). Still the same. I can see both networks, I just cannot connect. I have up to date software

I have two questions:

  1. Why settings are changed to Germany automatically? I believe Germany is “home” location of the router.

  2. Why I cannot connect to WiFi?

  1. Yes, the device comes with a default country code set at the factory (yours is DE).
    You can change it manually in LuCI. However, if the configuration is reset for any reason—such as a short press to restore network-related settings, a long press to perform a full factory reset, or updating the firmware without keeping the existing configuration—the country code will be reset to its default value.

  2. When you’re unable to connect to Wi-Fi, what error message is shown in Admin Panel → Internet? Please share a screenshot if possible.
