I have a Beryl GL-MT1300 router and I would like to use it with a 5TB external hard drive (G-Technology ArmorATD, NTFS file format ) for file sharing.
Is it okay to connect it directly to the router or do I need to use a powered USB hub?
If you have a usb power meter you can check the current draw of the drive in use. It should be fine if it’s under 1A.
