I’m switching my home router (server) and all clients to using Amnezia Wireguard, the only client so far that lacks support is the Opal (GL-SFT1200), Is there a timeline of ETA for getting a beta that has support? Thank you
It may be implemented on GL GUI in v4.9 (or newer), you can refer to this to install manually:
Check the author of both posts
. I couldn't take a no for an answer the next day so I implemented it myself.
Hi @bruce . Please сan you tell when we can expect an update with support for AmneziaWG v1.5 or 2.0 for GL-MT3000
Hello,
May I know is the currently supported AmneziaWG v1.0 not stable connection on your end?
The support of AmneziaWG v2.0 may take some time.
In my region, DPI blocks AWG v.1.0 and I have to either use the Windows client for AmneziaWG and adding the L1 parameter, which is not supported in version 4.8.2 beta, or switch to OpenWRT 24 with third-party packages. But your interface is very comfortable and it would be nice to have support for AWG 1.5 or 2.0.
AmneziaWG on IOS supports now version 2.0.0 since yesterday.
Any plans to release this in the new Beryl 7? ![]()
Beryl 7 will support it on the v4.9 firmware.
Just updated firmware to this beta on my MT-3000, works perfectly, the setup is: Keenetic - MT-3000 in repeater mode. I’ve tried several setups, not scientific since there are some other clients with light traffic, but here are the speeds (Device [Amnezia client status on this devide]):
-
Keenetic [on] - MT-3000 [off] - Laptop [off]: down 178 / up 162
-
Keenetic [off] - MT-3000 [on] - Laptop [off]: down 181 / up 184
-
Keenetic [off] - MT-3000 [off] - Laptop [on]: down 184 / up 189
So in all instances the tests were run on laptop, and the entire setup chain was unchain, WAN comes into the Keenetic, Gl.Inet router connects to Keenetic over WiFi, I’m connected to the Gl.Inet router.
Hi everyone,
We’ve recently released a beta firmware on our official website with support for AmneziaWG 2.0. You’re welcome to give it a try and share your feedback with us.
We sincerely apologize for the delay in delivering this feature, and we truly appreciate your patience.
With proper configuration, parameters I1–I5 can make AmneziaWG traffic resemble other protocols. For example, they can help certain firewalls interpret the traffic as QUIC or WebRTC, which may improve connectivity in restrictive network environments.
You only need to add the following fields to your configuration:
For QUIC:
I1 = <b 0xc30000000108><r 8><b 0x00001f><r 2><b 0x06001a><r 26>
For WebRTC:
I1 = <b 0x0001><b 0x003c><b 0x2112a442><rc 12><b 0x0006><b 0x0009><rc 9><b 0x000000><b 0x8029><b 0x0008><r 8><b 0x0024><b 0x0004><r 4><b 0x0008><b 0x0014><r 20>
I2 = <b 0x0101><b 0x0024><b 0x2112a442><rc 12><b 0x0020><b 0x0008><b 0x00><b 0x01><r 2><r 4><b 0x0008><b 0x0014><r 20>
I3 = <b 0x16><b 0xfeff><b 0x0000><b 0x000000000000><b 0x008f><b 0x01><b 0x000083><b 0x0000><b 0x000000><b 0x000083><b 0xfefd><r 32><b 0x00><b 0x00><b 0x00><b 0x0a><b 0x130113021303c02bc02f><b 0x01><b 0x00><b 0x004f><b 0x000a><b 0x0008><b 0x0006001d00170018><b 0x0033><b 0x0026><b 0x0024><b 0x001d><b 0x0020><r 32><b 0x000d><b 0x0008><b 0x0006><b 0x040104030201><b 0x000e><b 0x0009><b 0x0006><b 0x000100080007><b 0x00>
If you were previously using an AmneziaWG 1.0 configuration, we strongly recommend removing the existing obfuscation parameters on the server side and applying the changes. This will allow a fresh AmneziaWG 2.0 configuration to be generated automatically.
Feel free to experiment and let us know how it works for you.
Thanks
Thanks for that but can I please ask what the difference is between the two versions on offer there (the one from 2025-09-30 vs the one from 2026-03-18) as both appear to have the same version number and the exact same changelog as well.
Hi,
The beta version released on March 18 introduces the following new features:
-
Support for the updated version of Astrowarp
-
Support for AmneziaWG 2.0
We hope these new features will be helpful for your use cases.
There was an issue with our download center that caused an older version to appear in the beta section.
- 2025-09-30: Beta 4 — added support for AmneziaWG 1.0
- 2026-03-18: Beta 5 — added support for AmneziaWG 2.0 and the Astrowarp SDK
The team has now fixed the issue, and only the latest 2026-03-18 (Beta 5) version is currently available in the download center.
@will.qiu any plans for MT5000, flint 2 and flint 3e ?
Most models are expected to receive support for AmneziaWG, including version 2.0, in v4.9 as part of the planned roadmap.
Some models (not yet confirmed) may receive AmneziaWG 2.0 support in a v4.8 beta release, but this will largely depend on the availability of development and testing resources.
Sorry I know that other people may have asked this, but will there be any beta any time soon for GL-MT2500A Brume 2?
I understand this is currently not supported by the beta 4.8.2 for that device
Thanks!
Do you mean a beta version for the MT2500 to support AmneziaWG?
I believe there are no plans to release a beta with this support in the near future. This may not be available until the release of v4.9
You may want to click “Apply” after enabling the obfuscation option, so the router can generate the base obfuscation parameters for you. After that, if needed, you can simply append the parameters mentioned above (used for protocol impersonation) to the existing configuration.
I also gave the guide a quick try on my side and it opened without any issues. It might just be related to network conditions when accessing the GL.iNet website from your region.
