Hello

I cannot install blue-merle_2.0.0-0_mips_24kc.ipk on my GL-E750

I get this error:

Make sure to run opkg update before.

If this does not work, you might need to contact the maintainer of blue merle because it's 3rd party and not officially supported.

I assume updating modem's firmware might be the issue as this plugin it is maintained up to 2023
Is it possible rolling firmware back?

You can always install any older firmware, found here: GL.iNet download center
Make sure to not keep settings while down/upgrading.

Can I use 4.3.18 to get blue-Merle installed? Once I change the IMEI, then upgrade to the latest FW will the changes remain persistent?

You might try it. IMEI should stay once changed, I would say. But testing is king.

Since it's 3rd party it's unlikely that you will get support here.
In this thread Blue-Merle an older firmware was the solution.
