Brand new Opal rebooting?

Hi, I just purchased a new Opal router via Amazon and it seems like the device is rebooting every 20-30 seconds. I’ve watch it disappear and reappear from the available WiFi list as well as the blue light band on the device comes and goes. I’ve upgraded the firmware.

Is this a power or hardware issue? I know I can ask for a replacement device but I thought if there were any other suggestions I can try before I take that step, that would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Are you using the power adapter comes with the router?

Can you try a different power adapter or power source?

Yes, was using the OEM charger that came in the box.

I tried an Apple 5V brick and that seemed to power up the device but I couldn’t connect to the splash page. Changed over to an Apple 12.5V brick and this seems to do the trick. I will test things for then next few hours.

Is the OEM charger faulty?

Confirmed. Was able to use the router for 6 hours straight using the 12.5V power brick.

What are my next steps in getting a replacement charger?

Yes if the problem is confirmed on the charger, pls contact our customer service to get replacement.
