Broken USB tethering on SFT1200

Hi there.

I connect my S21 and try to enable USB tethering on SFT1200.
When I plug on USB cable and my phone show cable is disconnected.

I got kernel message from router and attached here.

[ 174.720212] usb 1-1: new high-speed USB device number 2 using dwc2
[ 174.979844] cdc_acm 1-1:1.1: ttyACM0: USB ACM device
[ 175.050365] dwc2 17000000.usb: Overcurrent change detected
[ 175.290399] usb 1-1: USB disconnect, device number 2

Seems the phone draws too much power.

Try turning off “Fast charging” and “Super fast charging” on your Samsung S21.

EDIT:
Make sure that your USB-C to USB-A cable has a 56K ohm pull-up resistor.

I do not work for and I do not have formal association with GL.iNet

Thanks for reply!

The problem is solved after I used another AC adapter.

Can I solder USB port VBUS to USBC’s VBUS to bypass the overcurrent detection?

As long as it is working, pls don’t do any modification further.
