Brume 2 / MT-2500A: update firmware fail

I can

  • access the brume2 through the uboot dashboard,
  • upload the firmware,

but when I click on update it always fails.

I tried different versions of firmware but its always the same error message: Update failed - wrong firmware - try another one

What are the steps here?

ok, here is, what I did: 1.updated the uboot firmware (not router firmware!) 2. updated the router firmware 3. got access again 4. Had to update router firmware again 5. fix
P.S.: check the other comment for the firmware download: Critical Problem Notification for GL-MT2500/GL-X3000/GL-XE3000 - #148 by bLuNa

Been plugging away at this issue, but found out the issue was actually with my router setting behind the brume 2... For whatever reason my router changed where its DNS was coming from. I suspect during the firmware/reboot it went around the adguard and found a site for DNS. I moved my router DNS back to "internet" which is the brume in my case and things are now back to normal.

I had contacted support and their diagnosis step was to plug a computer direction into my brume and see if anything was blocked. WHich is was. THat pushed the issue back up stream to my router.... Hope your issue similar.
