Hi all,
I’m using a GL.iNet Brume 2 as a VPN gateway, and I also have a GL.iNet Beryl-AX travel router.
On the Beryl-AX, it looks like I can run two WireGuard client connections at the same time and use policy-based routing to send different LAN clients through different WireGuard tunnels (so each client exits via a different VPN/server).
On the Brume 2, I only see options that suggest one WireGuard client tunnel at a time (and maybe one other OpenVPN type in parallel, but not multiple WireGuard tunnels).
Questions:
-
Is it actually possible on Brume 2 to run multiple WireGuard client tunnels simultaneously and route clients through different tunnels (via policy routing), even if it’s not exposed in the UI (e.g., via OpenWrt/LuCI, CLI, or custom config)?
-
If not possible today: is this a UI/firmware limitation that could be added, or is it hardware/architecture-limited on Brume 2?
-
If it’s not feasible on Brume 2, which GL.iNet model(s) (or other OpenWrt-based gateways) are known to support multi-WG + per-client routing reliably?
Goal: Brume 2 as a gateway where Client A → WG tunnel 1, Client B → WG tunnel 2, etc., at the same time.
Thanks for any pointers (including “not possible and why,” or recommended alternative devices).
