Brume 2 set up as Drop-In Gateway - unable to ping any home device when connecting to home WireGuard server

Physical configuration:
Fiber from ISP > Nokia ONT > Brume 2 > Asus router, set to Access Point only mode

Am I able to set up a WG Server in this layout? Hoping someone here could point me in a couple directions to figure this out. Thanks!

I do also have AdGuard Home set up, but I tested with it enabled and disabled, did not make a difference

Hello,

If Brume 2 is connected to the existing home network as a Drop-Gateway, then your Nokia ONT is the primary router and Asus is the AP.

With such a topology, Brume 2 support to enable and as the WG server.

  1. The WG server enables remote access to LAN.

  2. You need to enable port forwarding in Nokia, there be the WG server can be accessed by the public network.

  3. For external devices which out of the home network, they can establish a VPN tunnel through the WG client and connect to Brume2, there be access your home network.

Because ADG is in Brume 2 (drop-in gateway), it is necessary to manually config the client's gateway and DNS to the IP of Brume 2.
