I have a Brume2 that I've used since April 2024 for a home VPN server with wireguard. I just tried to use it for the first time in a few weeks to prep for upcoming travel, and it's not working.
I see that it has a solid blue light. I tried disconnecting and reconnecting power. I tried connecting my home PC to it using the LAN port, but I was getting a white screen at 192.168.8.1 and now I'm just getting site can't be reached.
How can I fix this? Is my Brume2 dead? I believe I'm covered under 2 year warranty after purchasing from Amazon in April 2024.
Are you sure the ip is correct? Have you tried the wan port?
Yeah, I tried connecting my PC to both the LAN and WAN ports. I was using 192.168.8.1, which I used in the past and is written on the physical box
I tried following the uboot instructions (Debrick via Uboot - GL.iNet Router Docs 3). My light does turn white when I power on with the reset button. When trying to run the update though I get the following message (tried with latest two firmware versions from GL.iNet download center). The light also shuts off, even though power is still plugged in, when I get this message:

Something went wrong during updateProbably you have chosen wrong file. Please, try again or contact with the author of this modification. You can also get more information during update in U-Boot console.
Does your pc get an ip from the router?
Well, I have the same issue as described above, upgrading a Brume 2 from 4.7 to 4.7.4. Additionally, after normal boot the device is not responding and in LAN does not respond to DHCP DISCOVER messages. I have contacted support for advise how to proceed - waiting for their feedback. I have a second brume 2 on 4.7 but I will hold back the upgrade to 4.7.4 until clearance from support team.
I don't have problem updating my brume2 to the latest uboot and firmware.
Thanks Kaz,
Update from my side - the particular unit is probably totally bricked. I tried with another Brume 2 unit I have and everything is fine indeed.
Thanks a lot to the GL Inet support team - they have been very supportive. According to them this particular unit is indeed bricked.
