Brume (GL-MV1000) not rebooting properly: shutting down but not restarting

Hi.

When I try to reboot my Brume, it often shuts down but does not restart. I need to power cycle it to bring it back up.

This happens via the standard admin Web interface, the LuCI interface, or if I simply issue a reboot command from the CLI.

Is there a flash setting to control the restart?

Thank you.

Can you get the log?

What other devices are connected to Brume when you reboot?

Is there a way to increase verbosity and have the log survive the reboot?

I have my wifi access point and a server.

I seem to recall that this has occurred 3-4 times on my GL-MV1000W and I had to unplug/plugin the adapter.

YES, I want to check if any of those apps are blocking reboot.

YES, when reboot is executed, it will stop system related activities first. After the processing is complete, the device restarts.

I meant that I waited quite a while and the Brume did not restart a few times. Normally, it reboots fine.

Agreed, the behavior is inconsistent. I just tried a reboot and it worked fine. But sometimes (like yesterday) it doesn’t restart. I’m unsure what causes it.

FYI, here’s the log for a successful reboot:

Connection to router closed.

We found some problems that happens very rarely.

There are some devices keep sending packets causing the router cannot boot. Can you disconnect your server and test?
