My new ISP doesn't supply a router, so I'm considering using my Shadow. The ISP advises me: "You will need a router capable of doing PPPoE on the WAN port and the ability to set a custom VLAN ID in order to use our service." Does the Shadow meet these requirements?
Yup, it does: Ethernet - GL.iNet Router Docs 4
But the Shadow is very low-powered; you should reconsider if it will fit your needs.
You mostly won't be able to reach the ISPs speeds. Consider using a Flint instead, for example. See Product Comparison - GL.iNet

All Flints (1/2/3) are better than a Shadow for local routing. ![]()
But yeah, I would go with a Flint 2 or 3 instead.
