Cannot change macaddress on MT300A !!!

whenever i use option macaddr ‘***********’ in wireless file in config folder</span>

"daemon.notice netifd: radio0 (4438): nl80211 driver initialization failed.

daemon.notice netifd: radio0 (4438): wlan0: interface state UNINITIALIZED->DISABLED"

wireless interface stop on reboot !

+macchanger dont work
ifconfig wlan0 down
macchanger -A wlan0
i get ERROR: Can’t change MAC: interface up or not permission: Invalid argument
help!

Do you mean MT300N? MT300A should work with mac address changes.

MT300A on 2.20 its not working at all! please help!

changing macaddress on ethernet and lan is working but on wifi is not possible

After a thorough test, I have to say that MT300A doesn’t support changing mac address in repeater mode. I made some mistakes in my previous test.

AR300M is nearly ready.

Changing mac address when combined sta and ap in MTK chips seems a problem. Maybe this is because of the wifi driver, not the chips. Just don’t have a clue now.

so anyway to change the wifi driver?

will the ar300m have sdcard?

The wifi driver is opensource, so it is possible. But need very good technical skills to debug.

AR300M doesn’t have sd card, but it has 128MB NAND flash.
