Update: just uboot back to most current firmware for GL inet but what is the most current & stable openwrt version V2 supported?
Update:
Be able to connect the IP and upgrade luci openwrt to 23.0.5 then now in booting mode for 30 mins without any change. What can I do here?
the reset network never works…It stays as old settings before the upgrade.

It sound to me you soft bricked the device, due to the wrong use of the plugin/package manager, its not advised to upgrade packages.
First I will explain why this is so wrong and why it raises a couple of red flags here:
OpenWrt designed the package manager along with core components, the problematic issue is that these should not be upgraded, they are part of a unreleased snapshot not matching the same package chain.
These upgrades could theoretical also slip in as a dependency install and break your router, causing deeper breakage or softbricking.
As for security, packages get it by firmware upgrades you don't have to do anything at this.
The way OpenWrt has designed it is either for advanced users who know what they can upgrade and what they cannot mostly with developer experience, or for users who only keep it at installing user based packages.
So sometimes you can interrupt it early if it is softbricked, so plug in power and press reset really fast early on that will make reset work because you want to be before the boot loop crashes.
If that doesn't work, you need to follow the debricking guide with U-boot this will reset it fully when uploading a new image.
If a clear reset clearly happened and still no ui, maybe you are on a ip conflict, you know if it picks up the reset sequence if the led lights change, then just hold 8 sec, a short press only rolls back a change in uci but doesn't rollback packages.
so can you share how to upgrade openwrt? and what is the stable version for V2 for now? I went to the luci openwrt web interface and sysupgrade the downloaded bin file of 23.5.0.
Wait for a release or snapshot of the GL firmware, on https://dl.gl-inet.com
Or if you want OpenWrt depending on your device if they are supported by them go to:
Always take the sysupgrade in its name, this ensures it preserves U-boot so the debricking guide works, if you used the factory images U-boot is changed to tftp to the version of OpenWrt.
Thanks. Yes I downloaded the sysupgrade bin file instead of factory images. uploaded the sysupgrade bin file in luci openwrt web interface system > backup/flash firmware, and cause the stuck issue for twice. It always stuck at booting statue.
Please shed some lights on this.
Please keep in mind that vanilla OpenWrt is more of a "goodie" like a real supported version. Official support only exists for GL firmware - at least in this forum.
If you struggle with pure OpenWrt, it's best to ask the OpenWrt community directly.
