My router is working fine in the location where I originally configured it (our boat in our home marina) with many devices successfully connected to it.
However, I just moved it to a new network and I cannot get to 192.168.8.1 to reconfigure it to the new network. I rebooted but same issue.
I downloaded the ‘gl inet’ application and it’s scan function does not find the router either.
I have tried from my iphone, ipad, and a samsung phone. The router is definitely on and working as I can connect to it’s network and all my devices can use it in my original location.
Hi there,
Is the connection between devices via a wired or WiFi method?
A possible reason is that the DHCP allocation network segment of the new network overlaps with the default network segment of the router. Please try disconnecting the router from the new network and connecting it to a computer alone (directly connect to the router's LAN port) to see if you can access it via 192.168.8.1
.
If you can access it, please try modify the default network segment of the router before connecting to the new network.
Thanks. I have tried using an iphone, ipad, and samsung phone and I don’t have a pc at that location to direct connect with.
