Can't use GL-MT300N-V2 as multicast proxy

Hello,
I’m trying to use the MT300N v2 to proxy multicast traffic as unicast. I have an IPTV box and when I connect it to my home network, everything shuts down (I lose internet access). I’ve narrowed it down to the fact that it’s using multicast transmissions – apparently enough to bring down the network. I want to be able to bring this IPTV box other places as well, so I thought I’d try to use udpxy and proxy the data from one port to the other of the MT300N v2. Here’s how I have it set up:

IPTV box → LAN port (because it wants to receive an IP via DHCP)
WAN port → home network (with ports 22, 80, 8080 and 8888 open in the firewall)

I’ve got udpxy installed and I can access it by http://<mt300n’s WAN IP>:8888/status/ but when I try to do http://<mt300n’s WAN IP>:8888/udp/239.255.42.42:5004/ in VLC, it doesn’t receive the stream coming from 239.255.42.42 on port 5004. I’m wondering if maybe this could be some firewall issue, or if I need to do something else to get the traffic to pass through. Does anyone have any ideas what could be missing? Thanks in advance!

It turns out that the problem was with the IPTV box, and not the MT300N v2. I’ve got the router passing the data exactly as I wanted it to. I’m very pleased
