Clients List Wired and Wireless Status wrong

I marked highlight, red is wrong, and green is correct.
Main Router:

Access Point Flint 2:

Looks like conflict clients between Main router Flint 2 and Access Point mode Flint 2.
Access point only one port from Main Router.

Hi,

Here creates a new thread to discuss this issue.

Please draw about topology.
Like the "smart clock wifi" as an example to show its topology, including the connect method of the wired or wireless.

that my topology network

Why not using Extender Mode instead of AP? Would be the right mode for that.

I am using cable to be full speed in garden wifi coverage

I might be wrong, but Extender should work via Cable as well.
It just layer-2-bridges everything, afaik.

It involves the topology of the main router +AP.

In my router reproduced situaion:

  1. If clients connected to the AP, the main router seems judged they all are as wired, since the AP is connected to the main router is wired.
  2. If clients connected to the main router, the wired and wireless clients display normal.

In combination with your topology, the two routers are the same as SSID and Password, so in the list of main router, some displayed as a wired (2 * Speaker+ 1 * Unknown), which may actually connect to the AP.

It seems to be an issue, I will submit to check.

Can confirm behaviour in a scenario where Brume 2 is the main router and an Asus Blue Cave is running in AP mode. All clients show as wired, I don't think it would be possible for Brume2 to determine the nature of the client connection.

I would expect though in a case where a gl.inet product is used as AP, Brume to communicate with it to determine the nature of the clients.

I think it is probably different brands and models that may not be able to synchronize the client's connection mode (wired or wireless).

As the AP router is wired to connect to the main router, so the clients which connected the AP and always shown on the main router are as wired.

While not affecting connection and usage, but try to check the issue about the clients between GL routers.

Almost yes but not full clients showing.

Discuss with R&D team,

  1. The client list of the main router is different from the client list of the AP, it is normal. Since the the main router client will not be sync to the AP client list, but the matin router client list will display all clients.

  2. GL routers, one main, others are AP, and they are wired to connect, but GL SDKs does not support the Mesh at present, the reason why the client list of the main router shows the AP clients is wired.

  3. Devices connect to the AP router, and the client list of AP router show wrong connection. This probably is issue, if we can reproduce will try to resolve. But now I did not reproduce, like this:

The Client List on my PC is Not Showing the Wireless clients. Only the clients via ethernet are shown.
On the mobile ui (iOS) also the Wireless clients are shown.

Where do you get from? The latest version is 4.7.0

Sorry my mistake; I am on the spitz ax3000 and Not on a flint.

Hi,

Please create a new thread, post the screenshot to show the issue.

I think to solve this issue, maybe an override/edit for each device so we can tell it what connection it is. Similar to the icon selection.
