Comet Pro Unable to join the network

Hi everyone,

I replaced a defective Comet with a new Comet Pro. The device connects without any issues to my phone’s hotspot, but when I try to connect it to my home WiFi network, I get the message:

“Unable to join the network.”

Here are the relevant details about my home network:

  • 2.4 GHz enabled (separate network)

  • Channel manually set to 1

  • Channel width: 20 MHz

  • Security: WPA2-PSK (AES only, not mixed)

  • DHCP enabled

  • Password contains only letters and numbers

  • No MAC filtering enabled

  • Other devices (including smart plugs and IoT devices) connect without any problems

The device can see the SSID, attempts to connect, but fails with the error message above.

I have already:

  • Performed a full hardware reset of the Comet Pro

  • Rebooted the router (including powering it off for several minutes)

  • Verified password multiple times

  • Confirmed the network works with many other devices

Since it connects to a phone hotspot but not to my router, this does not seem like a hardware defect.

If the firmware is lower than 1.8, please upgrade your firmware and try again.

If the problem persists, please export the logs.

after a while the device connected to the wifi and stayed connected since.

here attached are the logs

now i’m facing the issue where, despite the device being connected, is not visible from the cloud:
