I am using GL-X3000 with Yes mobile in Malaysia, while can connect to the Internet, but "Internet" and "Cellular" LED on the device are OFF, also a "No Internet Connection! Find a network to reconnect." message on the GUI, any config or workaround i can try to fix this? Thanks.

Actually, I have a similar problem. There is a red text at the top of the GUI saying “Operation timed out”, but in reality, my x3000 can access the internet normally. I am using cellular data to access the internet, the operator is T-Mobile, using fbb.home, TTL65. I previously found that it might be related to VPN. After enabling WireGuard VPN, when I try to nslookup google.com via SSH, it seems that it cannot resolve the address at the router level due to DNS, but the clients are not affected by this. This red text “Operation timed out” does not affect the usage, but sometimes it’s a bit annoying to see it.

Here they are and thanks.

Looks Similar situation, however in my case, I am not using VPN service.

Yes, it might be that cause.

The Internet detection is decided by the ping request to some specific address, default 8.8.8.8 which you can define in the Multi-WAN page.

For the clients devices, its traffic routing and dns request would go through the VPN tunnel. And for the router's own traffic, it would go through the WAN interface by default. You can also modify it in the VPN options as well.

As the workaround, you can set the customer DNS for the router itself, or change the Internet detaction address to reach.

Hello @rose2020 the logread file doesn't have much info of the cellular network. To troubleshoot the cellular network issue:

  1. Pls make sure that all antennas are connected properly and firmly, and confirm that your sim card is activated
  2. Manually set APN to yesnet for you Yes mobile to see if it works.

If issue persists, pls download the modem-debug file from the INTERNET->Cellular->Modem Management page and share it with me to check. You can PM me the info. Thanks

I haven’t been able to find the setting for changing the detection address or how to route the router’s traffic through the VPN. Since I’m using AdGuard Home for DNS, I’m not sure what adjustments are needed. Could you provide me with more detailed instructions on how to proceed?

Thanks for your advices. I am just confirmed all the antennas are connected firmly.
I have been manually using APN yes5g, and already returned the SIM, now getting a new SIM and should be able to try yesnet within a few days.

Sure, of course.
