Connect remote computer to HDMI monitor

I have a computer that I need to remotely access, but also use the same PC to connect to a monitor (actually a TV) as well. I also have a wireless logitech keyboard/touchpad connected to the PC. Is connecting to the monitor as simple as using an HDMI splitter for the KVM and the monitor?

All you need is an HDMI splitter.

Thanks for the reply. If you're ever looking for feature suggestions, in/out HDMI plugs would be mine. I have several applications where I can use this with the need for an external monitor at the source PC.
