Connecting a GL-MT300N-V2 to my Uni's captive portal wifi

Hello, I have been using my GL-MT300N-V2 router for the last year or so with no issue. I have been using it solely as a bridge to connect to my wyze cam. However, my university has recently changed its free wifi policy to require a captive portal login. This is only for the free network which is unreliable, and the main network also got updated. This requires me to login with my student ID and password, and also do a 2-factor authentication on my phone to confirm it. Is there any way I can use my GL.iNet router to bypass the captive portal login to at least still access the slower free wifi? I have tried numerous times to connect the GL-MT300N-V2 to the captive portal wifi and it just crashes or does not connect every time. Any help?

Can you do mac clone? First auth via your phone then clone the mac address to the router.
