Connection problems with GL-X3000

Hello,

I own a GL-X3000 router and I have connection problems. Several times a day it seems, that the router looses the cellular connection. If I try to check the connection with a speedtest it looks as if there is no connection or only download but no upload. Then I try to change the router to use LTE or 5G or rest the modem. Sometimes it fixes the problem sometimes not. The last possibilty is to reboot the router. At the moment the connection is not very reliable.

If have to mention that at the same location with the same carrier I have no connection issues with my smartphone.

Are there any solutions to get a stable internet connection?

Hi René

  1. Do you use the original power adapter?
  2. Please check whether the cellular antennas are connected properly.
  3. Check whether the APN used by the router is correct. Advised to set it to be same as your mobile phone

Hi Cathy,

I checked eyerthing: reseating the SIM card and the antennas, made the update to the latest firmware and so on. but nothing helped. When running internet over the router I get many ping loses and in the admin page I get the message: The interface is connected, but the Internet can't be accessed.

The signal strength is good or excellent at the same time.

I don’t know what to do else! I need the router for my work.

May I know the sim card operator? Could you share device to support as per the following tutorial so that we can have a remote check?

I had again connection problems this evening. In the logs I found the following entry:

Mon Nov 17 21:06:43 2025 daemon.info gl_modem: (modem_network.c:2148) SIM card does not exist or pin lock, exit operator lock initialization
Mon Nov 17 21:06:51 2025 daemon.info modem_AT: (at_server.c:195) AT_Read@195 The number of times the epoll reached timeout:8s

I just rebooted the router and the connection is working again.
