Connection timed out accessing Admin Panel

Logged on to GL WiFi network, accessed 192.168.8.1 one time, it soon “timed out” and now I cannot get back to the Admin Panel. The network through GL-A1300 is working fine, Internet throughput is as it should be. Just cannot access the Admin Panel, even after a rebook of PC.

Update: I got back after reboot of PC and clearing caches on browsers. Now, I can’t keep the router up. It runs for a few minutes and then drops connection. I’ve factory reset and it keeps timing out after just a few minutes. Any thoughts?

I seem to be having a similar issue... and this is getting very very frustrating as I have absolutely no idea how to pinpoint what is causing this.

I cleared cache and cookies and everything multiple times. When accessing via Laptop Browser I cannot connect to the admin panel anymore. Operation always times out.

I can access via WiFi and my phone just fine using the same old URL I have always used 192.168.8.1

When accessing via Laptop, no shot. Even after clearing browser cache.

Also oddly I seem to be able to get the Admin Panel Login Screen working if I quickly disconnect from my Slate Plus Wifi and reconnect .... but then Im stuck at "Operation Timed out" again. Reseting router did ALSO not help.

Mostly the issue is a browser/PC one, not a router one.

Please double check:

  1. Your PC should use DHCP.
  2. You should try to open the web page using http only!
  3. You need to be connected to the main Wi-Fi not the Guest oone.
  1. Yes my PC is using DHCP
  2. Im using http obviously (have the admin panel bookmarked on my laptop, no changes to URL)
  3. Connected to the main WiFi (again, when I do this on my phone I can access the panel)

The most bizarre thing is, when I keep turning WiFi on and off on my laptop e.g. keep reconnecting to the SSID of my SlatePlus then its working just fine for a split second. Hell I can even navigate through the menues ... what gives?

Can you ping your router?
Does your browser uses some weird VPN/AdGuard/whatever thingy that might be an issue?

Maybe your pc has VPN installed. It behaves exactly like that.
