I have an opal (SFT1200).
I cannot connect the opal to my network, either by wifi or LAN, my iMac takes a long time to join the GL-SFT…. Network , and when it does, I cannot log on to the 192.168.8.1 IP., I get page not available message. I have rebooted modem, no change.
Any ideas?

By that I'm assuming you are connecting via WiFi, instead connect ethernet cable from LAN on the router to the ethernet port on your Mac (if your Mac has one). Another thing might be that the Mac isn't connecting correctly because it sees no internet on the SSID and then it comes off the network, a bit like android asks when it realises there is no internet. I don't use apple products so I can't say for sure if that's what's happening.
Maybe you can setup via a different device?
Thank you, I tried by ethernet cable directly from the modem which runs the network to the opal, using the WAN port on the opal, as I am hoping to extend the internet coverage with this additional router; so , as I understand it, it should have seen the internet. I have tried connecting with both an iPad, and an iMac, using wifi, as well.
