Connectivity Issues with Spitz AX GL-3000 Router on KPN SIM Card

I'm reaching out for assistance with my Spitz AX GL-3000 router, which is having trouble connecting to cellular networks while using a KPN SIM card. Based on online resources, it seems that the issue might be related to the router's firmware.

Here’s what I’ve done so far to troubleshoot:

Updated the firmware through both the app and manual uploads.
Performed a factory reset four times.
Manually uploaded the latest firmware version.

Despite these efforts, I’ve noticed a strange inconsistency. In the app, under the "System" section, it shows my firmware version as 4.4.12. However, when I check under "Upgrade firmware," it still lists the firmware as version 4.0. This mismatch makes me suspect a possible bug, which is unusual since I only recently began using this router.

Could anyone suggest a fix or a specific update that might address this issue? Any advice on how to proceed would be greatly appreciated.

  1. May I know did you try to configure the APN for the KPN SIM?
  2. May I know does this SIM card work well with the phone?
  3. Please try to manually upgrade the modem firmware:

I managed to solve the issue! Here’s what worked for me:

  • APN: It’s recommended to check with your SIM card provider for the correct APN settings.
  • TTL (Time To Live): Set this to 65, 88, or 117.
  • MTU (Maximum Transmission Unit): Use a value lower than 1500, such as 1420.

With these settings, everything worked as expected. Hope this helps someone else!"
