Hey there, I was wondering if it’s possible to use the ATX board with devices other than the explicitly supported GL-RM1PE.
I see the ATX Board has a USB cable to connect to the Comet, are there known specifications around its messaging protocol and could it be controlled by a device such as a Raspberry Pi or a GL.iNet router instead of the full Comet KVM?
For example, I already own other GL.iNet devices including the Flint 3 Router which is placed directly next to my PC anyway. I’m wondering if it could be possible to connect the ATX Board to its USB port and control it through a custom extension or ssh commands (assuming simple support isn’t built in natively)
All I’m looking for is the ability to either press a button in the web UI/LuCI or send an ssh command to do things like power on/off the PC or force/hard reboot. It doesn’t need to be pretty and I don’t need full KVM functions as the PC runs its own remote access software, I just want to be able to remotely force a reset in case it’s frozen up.
Has anyone done something like this before? or anyone with the ATX Board able to test it out?
