Custom VPN solution installation in device similar to GL-MV1000

I would like to try OpenWRT + netmaker on a device similar to GL-MV1000.
Is there any development kit or guide available?

There is a package for openwrt

Anyone using Netmaker and Tailscale?

Netmaker claimed to be much faster than Tailscale. But Tailscale is very popular.

I would like to know is it possible to install netclient in GL-AR750

Is this another program?

Netclient: Netclient Setup — Netmaker 0.16.1 documentation
Yes, I too came across GitHub - sbilly/netmaker-openwrt: This project offers OpenWRT packages for Netmaker..

I am new to such customization, so I would like to know whether it’s possible to perform such customization in GL-AR750 or looking for any other equivalent device.

You can download the prebuild ipk from Release v0.9.2 · sbilly/netmaker-openwrt · GitHub

And install in your AR750

Pls choose OpenWrt 1907

sure got it, thanks for confirming.
whether it’s possible to install the ubuntu image on the memory card and boot from it in GL-AR750?
either through GitHub - gl-inet/imagebuilder: Warning! Please look at 'GL.iNET Imagebuilder Introduction' section. or GitHub - gl-inet/mv1000-ubuntu-image?

No It is not possible.

Hope I can install Netclient ipk in GL-AR750S-Ext or GL-MT1300 (Beryl) also right?

@alzhao ,
I came across GL.iNet GL-SFT1200 mentioning as 65mbps over wireguard in https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51Lp6uoz2WL._AC_SL1000_.jpg

But in the description GL-SFT1200 (Opal) - GL.iNet Docs it mentioned “2.4GHz(300Mbps), 5GHz(867Mbps)”, does it really goes down as much as 65Mbps while we use wireguard?

Could you please share OpenWrt version recommended to install in this model?

Wireguard is 65Mbps max. So when you use Wireguard, this is the max speed you can get, regardless of the wifi speed.

This model does not support OpenWrt vanilla firmware yet. It seems not possible to add this new chipset to openwrt.

Can you share the link to find the OpenWrt vanilla firmware-supported Gl-inet devices?

Here is how you

Here is how:

Go to https://firmware-selector.openwrt.org/ and type GL.iNet

Seems that the list does not display all. But your can type the full model to check, e.g. MT1300

I found a list from this, but I thought Gl-inet website has got a similar page.

So GL.iNet GL-MT1300 supports the latest OpenWrt 22.03.0 and head to try out OpenWrt vanilla firmware right or any other recommended version?
Refereing: https://openwrt.org/toh/gl.inet/gl-mt1300_v1

For MT1300 pls try our firmware 4.x which is also based on 22.03.

The OpenWrt vanilla firmware had problems in wifi config but I am not sure if this is still true in 22.03.

sure got it, thank you.
Going order GL-MT1300 & let me update the result after trying firmware 4.x.
