Devices stopped seeing router's 5G and 2.4G network

I have GL.iNet GL-E750V2 with cellular data on. Both 5G and 2.4G are enabled and were working fine. After turning on the router this morning (I always turn off for the night), two things happened:

  1. I was not able to connect to esim and was asked to input PIN. The PIN was already there and after disabling/enabling esim and restarting the router it finally connected to the network.
  2. None of my devices (laptops, mobile phone) see the WiFi network. They are enabled on the router. I've turned off and on, restarted the router a few times but no progress. The network is not visible. The internet works and I can connect laptop to the router through LAN.

Do you have any ideas re the second point? Why the devises can't see the network? I have not changed any settings and SSID Visibility is on.

Hello @michael4

  1. For the sim card lock PIN problem, it typically need to abort the current cellular connection, enter the PIN code on the cellular manual setup page and then reconnect. The router will then automatically unlock the PIN and reconnect to the network.
It seems you've solved this problem. If error occurs again and cannot be solved by above method, please provide more information e.g firmware version and system log, for further analysis.
  2. Are both 2.4G and 5G Wi-Fi networks not visible? Please log in to router to check the wireless config, make sure the SSID Visibility option is set to "Shown". In addition, you can set wifi channel to a different one to try.

Hi @Cathy, thanks a lof for your response.

Fortunately point 2 is now fixed (by itself). After turning on the router after the weekend, both Wi-Fi network were visible again. However I'd like to understand what could have been the problem? If this occurs next time, I will try to set a different channel. But I leave in a location where there's no interference from other devices, so it's strange that this suddenly happend.

With regard to SSID visibility, I have not changed any settings. I simply turned off the device in the evening, and in the morning after turning off both Wi-Fi networks were not visible.

Got it. If errors occurs again, you can also share the system log with us to check. Thanks
