Yesterday at home, i didn't have to wait for this. Now at work, i have my device on for over 10 minutes and i can't do anything.

DFS detection can be up to 10 minutes, plus-minus a bit.
It's pretty long but maybe you are next to some airport or weather radar.
Depending on where you are in the world it makes sense to avoid DFS-channels. Use channels 36-48 or 144-173 (SRD in EU, only low power, short distance).
