DHCP lease time: Flint

I have two Flint routers. Both obtain their IP addresses from a DHCP server. The DHCP server is configured with a lease time of 120 minutes.

The Flints report a lease time of 7200. That’s okay - they are just reporting it in seconds instead of minutes.

But the Flints ask for a new assignment every hour instead of waiting for two hours. Why so often?

Client devices tries to renew the lease at 50% into the existing lease, to reduce the chance of the lease expiring:
