Hello, I have tried to create a DHCP on WIFI only and I cannot make the LAN and WiFi communicate, I cannot even do simple pings
I've tried to fix issues like, firewalls on both machines and router, create interfaces and so on
I am working on a GL-AXT1800
Could anyone provide some insight on how to setup DHCP on WiFi only and still allow communication between LAN and WiFi ?
That's the default. Undo whatever you did/reset your Slate AX. Assign your wired clients static IPs:
GL GUI -> Network -> LAN -> Address Reservation

As 9b9e6.. mentioned, LAN and WiFi clients are available to communicate by default.
Which client do you require to set as static IP can be configured in the Address Reservation:
So basically just use the default DHCP and set the addresses from router
Initially I wanted to allow DHCP only on Wifi and leave LAN clients alone
Yes, I ended up doing this
At first I set the ip on every machine and wanted to leave the LAN with no DHCP
So all LAN clients would need to set themselves the ip and Wifi clients receive ip
It's easier to set Address Reservations/Static IPs on the router than it is to go to each wired client and set the IP there, one by one... but what ever best works for you.
