Is there any way the dnscrypt-proxy package on the gl-inet repository could be updated?
It’s currently pushing v 1.4.3, whereas the author’s github makes v 1.9.4 available. v 1.4.3 seems to have issues binding its socket on some hardware (I’ve been trying to get it to work on the ‘azure’ all day) and consequently won’t operate as designed; this is reported to be resolved in subsequent package updates.
Many thanks,
alzhao

We will try to update to v1.9.4 but this will be in next firmware release.
Which router are you using? I think you can just download the newest ipk from lede or openwrt trunk and install it in the router.

Please add support for DNScrypt + DNSSEC from DNScrypt.nl !
Or make it work like Tomato firmware, with easy menu:
any update? still not available in the latest repo.
GL-AR300M
LEDE Reboot 17.01.4 r3560-79f57e422d / LuCI lede-17.01 branch (git-17.290.79498-d3f0685)
Can you provide a way to install this manually through ipk?
