Aren't you a router—or rather, an OpenWrt—company? Are you planning to start making dashcams now? Or why exactly are you conducting this survey?

  • not SDcard only based (goes mostly corrupt, real replaceable M2.2230 or additional addable USB-C exFAT sorage)
  • AirTag inside for find the car/cam or not forget in the rent car
  • no heating problems
  • USB-C power

No. We need SD. I've never had a corrupt sd card. Use a good quality one.

Airtag is not needed.

Clear video is needed.

Type C for power.

A good App to play back the video.

One that is capable of negotiating captive portals and pass videos on to KVM for me please.

My recommendation will be a rear view mirror based dash cam. It can go over any rear view mirror which is standard across all regions and countries. Doesn't require mounting hardware ( no hardware to mount on the dash or windshield). Being higher on the windshield also allows better signal strength for cellular connection. Install also happens to be very discreet, and we'll go unnoticed two bad perpetrators.
