EC25 will not connect on MIFI

I’m consistently having issues getting my MIFI to initially connect to AT&T. Once the unit connects, it seems to be rock solid, but getting an initial connection is becoming very troublesome. I’m running firmware 3.013-0129 on the MIFI. Here are the system logs I’m seeing:

uqmi -d /dev/cdc-wdm0 --get-signal-info

{
“type”: “wcdma”,
“rssi”: -76,
“ecio”: 3
}

So my signal is fine, any thoughts on what I can try next?

FYI, I had the same problem as this thread:

I had to manually install these packages:
kmod-usb-serial-qualcomm
luci-proto-qmi

I then reset the modem, and hit “connect” in the GUI, it connected instantly.

Are new MIFI’s not shipping with those packages installed?

Mifi surely has the package installed.

Seems this is a different issue.

@alzhao I have ordered 15pcs of the gl.inet MIFI 2 weeks ago, and here is a package list from a unit I just pulled out of the box:

As you can see, those two packages aren’t installed:-(

Ok. The luci package will surely no need.

I am not sure the other package. But I don’t think we can make a stupid mistake without necessary packages. Maybe @luochongjun can answer.

I have just realized that my device is full, what are some things I can delete?

image

It is not full.

Overlay is the one you should chekc. There is still 5MB.
Rom is read only and should always be 100%.

Hello,

The log you provided shows that your network is not registered. Although you can query the signal value, it does not mean that your network is normal. You can run AT command AT+COPS? and AT+CREG? in the UI first
