EDID more than 2 blocks?

The EDID help page has this note:

The input EDID code block shall not exceed two.

What do I do with this when the monitor I want to set has 3 blocks? Copy only the first? Or the first two? My assumption would be that the OS expects 3 EDID blocks for this device and doesn’t detect it if the blocks are incomplete.

But my monitor has 3 blocks.

I’m on RM1 with V1.7.0 release2 and trying to configure the monitor I actually have, because I want to use the KVM with 2560x1440@60 and when I try to use any of the existing two 2560x1440@60 presets (GLKVM and ViewSonic) I get

  • either a weirdly tiled screen that doesn’t refresh after the initial connection
  • or when I first select 1920x1080@60 (which works fine) and then switch to one of the two 1440p presets, it looks correct and does update, but it actually stays at 1080p with Win 11 giving me no option of a higher resolution and every part of the screen that changes looks pixelated and unreadable

So I figured I try an EDID of my real 1440 monitor (HP OMEN X 27), but now I wonder what to do about the 3 blocks. When I only use the 1st or the first two, the KVM detects it as custom 1920x1080 - somehow it seems I just can’t get out of 1080p.

Hi, i wonder what is the resolution set in your controlled device. Is it set to 2560x1440@60?
Does your computer not support to output this resolution?
