Hello, I hope this reaches as many people as possible that can find soloutions on this, i really want to use my Gl Ax1800 to connect to eduroam but it just doesnt work and i really dont know what to do i have seen people sending logs in here so i guess thats how i can start.

What do i put in the wpa passphrase eduroam uses email and password ?

I can use eduroam without issues on my Slate7, I’ll try posting my settings when I have it on hand.
For Eduroam the normal WPA passphrase field usually is not the important one. In LuCI you normally need the 802.1X/EAP fields: identity = your university login (often the full email-style user), password = your Eduroam password, EAP method = PEAP or TTLS depending on the university, and phase 2 often MSCHAPv2. If it still fails, check the log for lines mentioning `wpa_supplicant` and whether it says PEAP/TTLS/auth failed or certificate validation failed; that error changes the fix a lot.
The WPA passphrase is not particularly important in this case, and you can enter any value.
This is because we will later switch the security mode from WPA/WPA2/WPA3-PSK to WPA/WPA2/WPA3-EAP, which does not rely on the WPA passphrase.
Have you already configured the connection according to your institution's Eduroam setup guide?

My settings mirror what @quietbadger27 said (PEAP+mschap), with the suggestion of having the certificate validation disabled during tests.
I just found out that it works when I take the router inside of the university but that doesn’t make sense? How did it work for the whole of may and now it doesn’t from my apartment. Also it’s like only 50 meters away. Do I have to upgrade to a higher range router ??
When you are in the apartment, is the AX1800 able to see/scan/detect the Eduroam network?
If so, then the issue is probably not related to Wi-Fi coverage. It is also possible that the Eduroam networks at the university and the apartment use different EAP authentication methods, in which case you may need to confirm the specific requirements with the relevant network administrators.
You might want to talk to your university IT staff, they might have some issue with the AP serving your dorm.
Well it scans and detects the eduroam network in the university and in my apartment too but the apartment itself doesn’t have eduroam it scans the eduroam from the building that’s like 50 meters away so it doesn’t make sense to me why the same WiFi doesn’t work when I’m in my apartment
Would you have an opportunity to test the same Eduroam credentials with another device in the apartment to see whether it can connect successfully?
